PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THESE ARE THE BASIC RULES TO ASSIST COMPETITORS. ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT THERE MAY BE ADDITIONS OR SUBTRACTIONS OF THIS AND IS AT THE FULL AND FINAL DISCRETION OF THE ORGANISER

 A : 4X4, TURBO, SUPERCHARGED, V8                    
                     
 B : MAX ENGINE CAPACITY - 3300CC / 6CYL / RX                    
                     
 C : MAX ENGINE CAPACITY - 2000CC / 4CYL                    
                     
 D : MAX ENGINE CAPACITY - 1600CC / 4CYL                    
                     
 E : MAX ENGINE CAPACITY - 1400CC    
                
 CAPACITY ADJUSTMENTS:
 Multi valve: capacity x1.25
 Rotary: capacity x2
 PLEASE NOTE: This will result in vehicle competing is higher class

 

General:

  1. No fires to be made directly on the ground. Please use portable or gas braais.

  2. Please leave area neat and clean.

Competitors Rules and Regulations

  1. Documentation starts is Saturday from 08h00 tot 9:30

  2. Drivers briefing is at 10h00 and all competitors to attend. 

  3. Recce run starts at 10h15. (first car to be ready at 1st stage 10:45)

  4. Competitors are not allowed to consume alcohol before or during the rally. It means that you can only start drinking after you finished the last stage or when you withdraw from the rally.

  5. Helmets and safety belts must be worn at all times during stages or practice runs. Start marshals to check that this is in place.

  6. At all times during stages or practice runs the vehicles windows must be closed and all body parts to be inside the car (pypkarre)

  7. Please drive slowly from the service area to the start of the stage as well as from the end of the stage to the service area.                                           Do not speed on open sections.

  8. If you find a competitor stuck in the stage please report it to the end marshal.

  9. If you get stuck in a stage or made an accident and do not need medical attention stay at your vehicle to prevent other competitors from stopping and losing time.

  10. If you come upon an accident in the stage and medical attention is needed you MUST stop and contact the medical officer on duty. Please call one of the organisers to stop and clear the stage before the next competitor can start the stage again.

  11. If you get lost in the stage please do not drive up and down trying to get back on the track, get out of the stage as quick as possible to prevent accidents from happening.

  12. When the next competitor is catching up on you in the stage please let them past you and do not hold them up.

  13. Pits – 20 minute service time. Try to keep the following run in the same sequence of the previous run.

  14. Please clean your competitor number after every stage so start marshal can identify you.

  15. A spare wheel is not compulsory.

  16. Fire extinguisher is not compulsory but is recommended.

  17. Not adhering to above rules and regulations may lead to disqualifying and are also subject to the discretion of the organisers.

  18. If you are withdrawing from the event please advice your nearest control and nominate your competitor number and reason for withdrawal.

  19. Please hand in your timesheets EVERY TIME YOU COME INTO THE PITS SO THE OFFICE CAN UPDATE THE POSITIONS AND TIMES This will assist the time keeping running more smoothly and final results to be available quicker.  

  20. SHOULD YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE STAGE PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP THE EVENT. The slowest full stage time in your class+10% will be given to in order to still come to a final result for all participants. 

 

Start countdown format: 1 finger is 1 minute 

Close fist is 10 seconds 

5 fingers is 5 seconds and counting down and go on hand down
